Our New Balance Girls on the Run Fall 5k at the
Clipper Magazine Stadium is December 3rd at 10:00
|
This fall we are trying something new...... it is a Fall New Balance Girls on the Run 5k
event at Clipper Magazine Stadium, adding to our successful Spring community-wide New Balance Event in previous years at F&M. The difference is that this Saturday will feature and celebrate our 286 fall Girls on the Run and their running buddies crossing the finish line......only. The intimate atmosphere will celebrate the accomplishment of each girl and her beautiful, strong, positive energy!
If you already registered as a running buddy, we thank you and we welcome friends in the community to come out to cheer for the girls as they cross the finish line near the main gate of the Clipper Magazine Stadium.
Be sure to mark May 19, 2012 on your calendars for our spring 5k at F&M--where we welcome all to run, walk and celebrate with us! This is one of our fundraisers to support our scholarship funds.
A HUGE energy cheer goes out to the Barnstormers organization for partnering with us to make Saturday's 5k magical!

We created a Fundraising Committee led by Dana Herr
We added 4 members to our Board: Beth Foster, Jacqueline Sandherr, Drew Nesbitt and Jeff Bradley
New Balance International donated 34 new pairs of shoes for girls and partnered with Mark Amway and Inside Track to do that
The girls impacted our community through a project called Operation Beautiful which focuses on changing the way we look at ourselves by writing and anonymously placing post-it notes with positive messages in public places. This project focuses on inner beauty and the gifts each person has to share.
We envision a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams.
